Aurelio Augusta

Aurelio Augusta, 96, of Freemansburg, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at St. Lukes Hospital- Fountain Hill. Born December 12, 1923 he was the son of the late Joaquim and Conceicao (Nequevia) Augusta. He was married to Olga (Saharuk) Augusta for over 70 years. Aurelio proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Seabees in the 87th Battalion during World War II. He worked and retired from Bethlehem Steel. Aurelio was actively involved with the 87th Battalion reunions. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miller Heights.

Aurelio is survived by his wife, Olga, brother, Anthony Augusta and wife Lois and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his four sisters, Rose, Mary, Helen, Alberta and Alice.
