Fausta Gentile

Fausta Gentile, 94, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the St. Lukes Hospice House. Born August 12, 1920 in Italy she was the daughter of the late Josephine (Caprara) and John Malatesta. She was married to Frank Gentile for 61 years until his passing on April 22, 2002.

Fausta worked in the textile manufacturing industry for 35 years retiring in 1979. She was a member of House on the Rock Family Church in Wind Gap. Fausta had many passions in life such as, traveling, gardening, creating music by playing the violin, piano, organ and singing with the Liberty High School Alumni Choral Group, but her greatest passion was her family and faith in God. She volunteered her time also with Meals on Wheels.

Fausta will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Frances wife of John Bedics and Patricia wife of Charles Toth, four grandchildren; Natalie, Roxanne, Nicholas and John, four great grand children; Ronald III, Taryn, Kenlyn and Aidan and two great great grandchildren; Ronald IV and Arianna. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Malatesta and sisters, Mary Pors and Lena Bishko.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 9-10 AM followed by a service at 10 AM. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

Memorial contributions may be made in Faustas name to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017 or to the charity of ones choice.
