Frank Gollatz

Frank Gollatz, 101 of Bethlehem died April 14, 2014 at Blough Nursing Home in Bethlehem. He was the loving husband of the late Helen B. Gollatz. Born 1912 in Coplay to Rosina Nickisher and Rudolph Gollatz. Frank worked for several, former companies in the area, the first being as a loom setter in the silk industry, where he met the love of his life, Helen. He also worked for LVRR, Tru Blu Brewery and then retiring as an electrician for Penn Dixie Cement in 1976. Frank was also a professional musician and played with various local bands in the 1940's and 50's. Frank was a member of both the Musician's Union and the Cement Worker's Union and a life long member of the Democratic Party.

Frank was predeceased by his grandson Greg Bierbaum and is survived by his daughter, June Bierbaum Gollatz, son, Fred Gollatz and wife Irene, granddaughters, Denise Mickley, Michelle Colbert and Valerie Krause. Along with five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a grand pup, Charlie.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.
