Albert Parenti, 92, of Bethlehem, died Friday July 14, 2006 at the VNA Hospice of St. Lukes. He was born on June 6, 1914 in Pittsburgh, Pa. son of the late John and Mary Delgrosso Parenti. He was the husband of the late Leona Karte Parenti.
Albert was a turn foreman in the electric furnace melting department at Bethlehem Steel for 37 years retiring in 1975. He was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Albert was a member of the Silver Creek Country Club for 30 years. He was also a member of the Monacacy Field and Stream Club, Bethlehem Mora Club, Heights AA, N.E. Wanderers, Goodfella?s and the Regularfella?s.
Albert was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He touched many people?s lives by his easy going manner and understanding personality.
He will be lovingly remembered by his companion of 20 years, Margaret Carnihan of Bethlehem, step daughter- Joan wife of John Archer of Hopkinton, Mass., sister- Triestina Lance of Reading, Pa. , step granddaughter- Megan Archer and nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by 3 brothers & 3 sisters.
Services will be held on Wednesday July 19, 2006 at 9:15AM at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10AM at St. Annes Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, Pa. Calling hours will be held Tuesday evening from 7-9PM in the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Annes Catholic Church and/or the VNA Hospice of St. Lukes 1510 Valley Center Parkway Bethlehem, Pa. 18017.
Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
