Carmelo Rodriguez

Carmelo Rodriguez, 78, of Bethlehem, passed away on Monday, October 07, 2019. Born in Patillas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Felipe Rodriguez and Angela Munoz. He was the husband of Kathleen (Midge) Rodriguez. They were married for 34 years.

Before retiring, Carmelo was employed by Just Born, Inc. for 38 years. He was an active and faithful parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem, where he was a bingo volunteer for 30 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathleen (Midge); children, Lillian Vasquez, Diana Rodriguez, Carmelo Rodriguez, Sandra Rodriguez and Migdalia Rodriguez Ferrer; brothers, Mario Garcia, Jose Rodriguez, Deacon Nicasio Rodriguez and Felipe Rodriguez; sisters, Paulina Rodriguez, Carmen Rodriguez and Genoveva Rodriguez; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents Carmelo was also predeceased by his sister, Candita Rodriguez; and brother, Victor Garcia.

Viewing hours will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday, Oct. 11 from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E 4th St. Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
