Caroline Papp, 82, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was born September 8, 1926 in Northampton; the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie T. Frederick Yurish.
Caroline was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Zoltan Papp in 2006.
She worked as a sewing machine operator for D&D Factory in Northampton and various other silk mills in the area prior to dedicating her life to her family.
Caroline also volunteered her time at the St. Francis Day Care.
Caroline will be lovingly remembered by her family, daughters, Patricia Ann wife of Stephen Bedics, Jr. of Bethlehem and Sister Carol Ann, O.S.F. of Pittsburgh; as well as two grandchildren; Michael Bedics husband of Molly, and Stephanie wife of Michael Kawczynski and six great grandchildren, Alyssa, Isaac, Ceili, Joshua, Michael, Jr. and Joseph. She is also survived by her sister Cecelia wife of Rudolph Soltis of Northampton and several nieces and nephews.
Caroline was also predeceased by her sister Mary Kulanko and her brothers, Joseph, Walter, John and Henry.
She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Bethlehem and current parishioner of Notre Dame Catholic Church of Bethlehem.
Calling hours: Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 8 to 9:15 AM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 10 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem.
Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery Bethlehem.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church and or to the School Sisters of St. Francis Retirement Fund 395 Bridlepath Rd. Bethlehem PA 18017
