Charles A. Hartranft

Charles A. Hartranft, 75, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at LV Hospital-Muhlenberg.

He was born January 12, 1936; the son of the late Amos Hartranft and the late Irene Bresnak Lawrence.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Lee Confer Hartranft.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Charles retired from F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd where he worked in the Vitamin C Dept.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Lee; sons, Philip Hartranft of Fountain Hill; Dean Hartranft of Allentown and Mark Hartranft of Strinestown and daughters, Kerri Koch of Bethlehem and Nicole Hartranft of Summit Hill. He will also be lovingly remembered by his 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren as well as two brothers, Raymond Hartranft of Catasauqua and Stephen Lawrence of Walnutport.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason.

Charles enjoyed spending his weekends at his cabin in "the mountains".

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 9-10 AM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a service to immediately follow.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
