Edward V. Chavar, 44, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at his Residence. He was born April 13, 1963, in Washington, D. C., the son of the late Samuel M. and Jennie A. Putar Chavar and the husband of Terri L. Vess Chavar of Bethlehem.
Edward was the owner and operator of Chavar Custom Knife Works in
Bethlehem. He was a 1980 Graduate of Liberty High School where he was a bagpiper in the Grenidier Band. He was a member of the Makay Piper Band, The Ranger Rod & Gun Club in Egypt, PA, and the Knife Guild.
Edward will be lovingly remembered by his wife Terri, step-son Anthony L. Vess and his wife Ashley of MO; step-daughter, Shanna L. Watson and
husband Sean, two step-grandchildren, Collin and Caleb Watson of
Slatington, PA; Uncle Bill and Aunt Lil Putar of Bethlehem and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Ss Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 730 West Broad St., Bethlehem. Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. both in the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
