Eleanor Barner

Eleanor Barner, 96, of Bethlehem, died on January 6, 2022 at her home with family by her side. She was born September 20, 1925 in Mexico City, Mexico; daughter of the late Pablo and Manuela (Sandoval) Ortega. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Monroe E. Barner.

She is dearly missed by her daughters, Linda D. Orth and her husband, Ed and Lenore Almaguer and her husband, Guillermo; brother, Bellino Ortega and wife, Beverly; 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. with a service to immediately follow at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be held at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
