Helen N. Maco

Helen N. Maco, 87, of Fountain Hill died Thursday October 12, 2006 at the Hospice of The VNA of St. Luke?s, Lower Saucon Twp. She was the loving wife of the late John J. Maco, Sr. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Olga Pudmera Nemsak.

She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church of Bethlehem and the Catholic Sokols. She had been employed by the former Globe-Times, the Express-Times and the Valley Voice newspapers.

She will be lovingly remembered by: sons, the Rev. Stephen L. Maco of Reading and John J. Maco, Jr. and wife Beth of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Lauren E. wife of Jeffrey Stiffinella, and John J. Maco, III. She was preceded in death by a brother, Milan.

Arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home of Bethlehem. A 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sunday October 15th at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, 617 Pierce St; Bethlehem. Call 5 to 7 p.m. in the church on Sunday. Burial will be on Monday October 16th at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, at 10 a.m.

Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to Bethlehem Catholic High School Scholarship Fund, 2133 Madison Avenue; Bethlehem, PA 18017.
