James J. Martini

September 12, 1958 — March 4, 2015

James J. Martini, 56, of Bethlehem, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He was born September 12, 1958; son of Beryl T. (Holletz) Martini of Bethlehem and the late John J. Martini. Jim is survived by his wife of 29 years, Deborah A. (Gum) Martini. He was a graduate of Liberty High School. Jim worked in the lighting industry for most of his career, most recently he served as the Lighting Manager for All Phase Electric Supply Company. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and volunteered for the churchs carnival for many years. Jim was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He will be remembered as a hard worker, for his great sense of humor, having a passion for woodworking, being an avid Eagles fan and for his kindness.

Jim will be dearly missed by his wife, Debbie; mother, Beryl; daughters, Lauren A. Martini of Maryland; Katelyn E. Martini at home; sisters, Jane Mantell and Rosemary Mast both of Bethlehem; parents-in-law, Sherwood and June Gum of Wind Gap; his nieces and nephews, and a great niece. He was preceded in death by his brother, John P. Martini.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 9-10:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Pen Argyl. Memorial contributions may be made to the family care of The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
