James Sawruk

December 8, 1952 — November 19, 2019

James Sawruk, 66, of Bethlehem, passed away on November 19, 2019. He was born in Allentown on December 8, 1952; son of the late Walter and Emma (Krobath) Sawruk.

Jim was a graduate of Louis E. Dieruff High School. He first met the love of his life; his wife, Jennifer Ann (Patterson) Sawruk, at Trout Creek Park in Allentown. They have shared a special bond ever since that fortuitous day. Jim and Jennifer are married for 38 years and were in love 8 years prior to that.



Jim will be lovingly remembered for the joy he found in collecting antiques, refurbishing antique furniture, and bottle digging and searching for Indian artifacts. He enjoyed to be outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jim had a great time in the company of his family and friends and he was so proud to be a grandfather to Annabella.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Jennifer Ann Sawruk; daughter, Kelly Ann Sawruk; sons, James A. Sawruk and his wife, Maureen, and Timothy J. Sawruk; granddaughter, Annabella; nephew, Kenny Dorney and his son, Kasey Dorney; brother, Walter Sawruk, husband of Carmela and their children, Nicholas and his wife, Becky, Joseph and his wife, Rebecca, and Katie; sister-in-law, Nancy Sarko, wife of the late Michael Sawruk and their daughter Shawna and her husband, William; as well as cousins, Carol Krakowski, and Cathy Tomasko, wife of Michael. Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Sawruk.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at New Covenant Christian Community Church, 21 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held privately on another date at the convenience of the family.

Contributions may be made to New Covenant Church Memorial Fund.
