Mildred "Millie" D. Butch, 87 , of Bethlehem died Friday July 25, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. She was born on February 22, 1921 in Chicopee, Mass. daughter of the late Jan and Valerie Jurkowski Klich. She was the wife of the late Lt. Col. Edmund R. Butch who died in 1991.
Millie was a homemaker and very devoted to her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the church Fellowship & Ladies group in Bethlehem Twp. She was a member of the Bethlehem Garden Club for over 35 years and served on the Board of Directors. She was a life member of the State Federation Garden Club of Pa. She was an auxillary member of the Retired Officers Assoc.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Lt. Col.Ret. Edmund R. Butch Jr. of Bethlehem, Pa., and Dr. Rodney J. Butch of Great Falls, Va, brother Fred Klich of West Springfield, Mass., sister, Jane Gaj of Feeding Hills, Mass., 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son Kenneth R. Butch , sisters, Freda Carlin, Marian Mattson, and Lena Balut and brothers Walter Klich, and Frank Klich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM Saturday August 2, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, Pa. 18020
Contributions can be made to the church.
Burial will be private.
