Raymond T. Gregorek

Raymond T. Gregorek, 68, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 29, 1943, he was the son of the late Thaddeus and Mary Zezdren Gregorek. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marilyn C. Ilich Gregorek.

Ray was employed by Baxter International Healthcare Corporation as a sales representative for 30 years, retiring in 2008. He was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University where he earned his teaching degree. He taught and coached football at Freedom High School for six years. He served as a trustee for the Lehigh Southside Boosters, was an officer of the Bethlehem Catholic Boosters and a member of the N.E. Wanderers and the Bethlehem YMCA. He was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a loyal fan of Penn State, Lehigh, Lafayette, and Bethlehem Catholic football teams.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marilyn of Bethlehem; daughter, Allison Gregorek Hamilton of Charles Town, WV; sons, Brian and wife Jana of O'Fallon, IL and Michael of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Lawrence and wife Dolores of Staten Island, NY; sister, Susan Herron and husband Gene of Vero Beach, FL; and granddaughter, Emily Hamilton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, where viewing hours will be held on Wednesday July 27th from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday, July 28th from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 28th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church and/or the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
