Tekla Barron

Tekla Barron, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, in ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Stephen A. Barron who passed away in 1978.

Born in Bethlehem on September 10, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Mikolaj and Helen Pyziak Weretta.

She was employed as a housekeeper at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bethlehem for 25 years before retiring in 1992.

Surviving are a son, Stephen J. of Bethlehem, a daughter, Stephanie, wife of Jack Cernobyl of Bethlehem, two grandsons, Matthew & Mark Cernobyl and three nieces.

A brother, John Werett, predeceased her.

The family wishes to thank the staff at ManorCare Health Services, 2021 Westgate Dr., Bethlehem, for the kind and compassionate care given to Tekla in her final years.

Services will be private and are entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc., Bethlehem.
