Tevfik Tasci

Tevfik Tasci, 92, of Bethlehem and more recently of Cromwell, CT, died on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He was born December 25, 1928 in Diyarbakir, Turkey; the son of the late Antun and Roza (Bazzas) Tasci. Tevfik is survived by his beloved wife, of 55 years, Karmen Seta (Makul) Tasci and his 3 children.

Tevfik will be lovingly remembered for his unconditional love of family, selfless acts of kindness to everyone that met him, and his continuous support and guidance to his children over the years. He adored his grandchildren and was so proud of them. He enjoyed the beach, the sun, going to the YMCA and watching his grandchildren grow. He will leave a profound impact on their lives.

He retired after owning a successful paint manufacturing company in Istanbul, Turkey. His motto was to always work and study hard so you can live a good life for many years to come.

Tevfik will be dearly missed by his wife, Karmen; daughter, Dr. Sibel Johnson and spouse, Marco of Germantown, MD; his grandchildren, Juliana and Isabella. His daughter, Aylin Tasci Conway and spouse, Chad of Cromwell, CT; his grandchildren, Everly and Ian. His son, Erman Tasci and spouse, Lori of Bethlehem, PA; his grandchildren, Amelia and Xander. He was preceded in death by his father Antun and mother Roza. He is survived by his sister Vahide Atlas and her children, Christine Atlas Yilanjian and family; Dr. John Atlas and family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Connell Funeral home, 245 E Broad St, Bethlehem, PA 18018 and on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9-10 am at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church; 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Notre Dame. Interment will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Cancer Research Institute or Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church in Tevfiks honor.
