W. Richard Schnurman

October 12, 1930 - February 5, 2022

W. Richard Schnurman, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at ProMedica. Born on Octobeer 12, 1930, in Allentown, he was the son of the late William P. and Lucille (Laros) Schnurman. Following his formal education, Richard was drafted into the Army, serving during the Korean War. After receiving an honorable discharge, he held a membership with the American Legion on the national level. Richard was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Allentown. He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-nine years, Eilane Schnurman, who passed away on January 16, 2022. Richard will be lovingly remembered by his sons, James Schnurman and Stuart Schnurman, daughter, Jill Haggerty, grandchildren: Kerri Cornell, Maddison Haggerty, Anna Schnurman, and Spencer Schnurman. A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 1:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Eilane’s name to St. Andrew’s Church or to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042.
