Agustin Santa

Agustin “Gus” Santa, 57, of Wilkes Barre, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born on July 30, 1966, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Ludin Santa.

Agustin “Gus” Santa was a proud Navy Veteran who served from 1984-1988. He received the status of Petty Officer 2nd Class before his honorable discharge. He was stationed on the Robert E. Perry in Hawaii. Gus worked hard via his businesses his whole life, whether that be his carpet cleaning operation or that of his contracting company. Gus lived his life making sure that those he loved were cared for and thought of often. Gus was known for his love of his family, fishing, reading, and making people smile wherever he went with his witty humor. He was well loved within his community, whether from people who knew him in adolescence and young adulthood to those who knew him in more recent years. He had the tendency to know people wherever he went or being able to get along with them and become fast friends, whether in the Lehigh Valley where he was raised or in Wilkes Barre, where he resided in his later years.

Gus will be dearly missed by his mother, Ludin; two daughters, Arianna and Crystal Santa; sister, Marisol Nevel; grandchildren, Auriella and Zoella Soto; two nieces, Angelica Ramos and Caitlyn Santa; two nephews, Luciano Ramos and Tynan Santa; and his girlfriend, Janice Brandt.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Maribel Santa; brother, Rosario “Junior” Santa; and nephew, Jose Rivera.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 9-11:00 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Military honors will conclude services at the funeral home.
