Alexander J. Walkiewicz

Alexander "Alex" J. Walkiewicz, 87, of Bethlehem, died Friday April 3, 2009 at Manor Care, Bethlehem. Born in Steel City, Pa; he was the son of the late Antoni and Kathryn Moscal Walkiewicz. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna Beckage Walkiewicz.

Alex was employed by the Bethlehem Steel for 35 years. He was a machinist in the #2 Machine Shop and retired in 1986. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Anna; sisters, Jennie Polak and Frances Toth; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony and Walter Walkiewicz.
