Alma M. Shea

Alma M. Shea, 96, of Fountain Hill, passed away into the arms of the Lord on December 9, 2025. Born on August 25, 1929, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Vasey) Dapp. She was the loving wife of the late Lawrence G. Shea, Sr.

A devout Catholic, Alma was a lifelong parishioner of St. Ursula Catholic Church in Fountain Hill. She was known as a pillar of prayer; a woman whose faith shaped every day of her life. Deeply devoted to the Blessed Mother and the Miraculous Medal and praying the rosary was important to Alma. Prayer wasn't just her practice; it was her peace, her purpose, and her gift to others.

Alma dedicated her life to her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and Alma poured her life into those roles. She was steady, gentle, and always praying for those she loved. Her legacy is one of faith, devotion, and the quiet, steady love that anchored her family for generations.

Alma will be dearly missed by her children, Lawrence G. Shea Jr. (Janie), Mary Majewski (John), Annemarie John (Skip), and Patrick Shea; grandchildren, Amber Hengstenberger (Brian), Colin Butryn, Coleen Shea Watson (Sean), Sean Shea (Jennifer), Stephen Majewski, Laura Attieh (Simone), Andrew Majewski (Elise), Kathryn Majewski, Maria Marzen (Paul), George "Skip" John, David John, and Amy Lombana (Alex) as well as 20 great-grandchildren. Alma is also lovingly remembered by Deborah Shea and Karen Shea.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Shea.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Ursula Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015 immediately followed by a eulogy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
