Andreita Vega

Andreita Vega, 83, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, with family by her side. Born in Puerto Rico on February 4, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Pablo and Regina (Serrano) Diaz.

Andreita was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Miguel A. Vega. The two shared 57 years of loving marriage, having wed on December 16, 1961.

A woman of deep faith and unwavering devotion, Andreita was an active parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, where she lovingly served as the Parish housekeeper from 1989 until her retirement in 2016. She was a proud member of the Cursillo Movement, La Confradía del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, and Encuentro Matrimonial, where she formed lasting bonds and enriched the spiritual lives of many.

Andreita loved cooking, baking, singing and gardening.

Andreita will be dearly missed by her daughter, Abigail Vega Wright, and her husband, Michael; sons, Javier Vega, and Ricardo Vega; and her cherished grandchildren, Javier Jr., Christopher, Giovanni, Ricardo Jr., Ashley, and Mianaya. Her love and legacy continue through her great-grandchildren, Avery, Madilynn, Isabella Rose, Anthony, and Julian. She also leaves behind her faithful canine companion, Coco.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jordyn M. Wright, daughter-in-law, Iris Vega, and siblings, Carlos Diaz, Pablo Diaz, Lucy Diaz, Leonor Santos, and Connie Diaz.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 9-10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., all at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Infancy Catholic Church in honor of Andreita's lifelong faith and service.
