Anne M. Eckenrode

Anne M. Eckenrode, 94, of Quakertown, PA died on August 16, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Scranton on April 19, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William and Theresa (Mahady) Lyons. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack L. Eckenrode, grandson, Gerry Michael Bova, her sister Catherine, and brothers William and Thomas.

Anne was a homemaker, an avid tennis player, and a hostess at the Spinnerstown Hotel for many years. She was a parishioner at St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown and at St. Thomas More, Allentown. Anne's Catholic faith and her family were what was most important to her. Anne attended the July Novena to St. Anne at the Basilica in Scranton for many years. She was very devoted to St. Pio of Pietrelcina.

Survivors: Anne is survived by seven children, Michele Lawler and her husband Mike, Coopersburg; Jack Eckenrode and his wife Linda, Madison, CT; Ann Bova and her husband Al, Bethlehem; Mary Pat Hoffman and her husband John, Allentown; Maggie Rutherford and her husband Lee, Doylestown; Susan Dale and her husband John, Coopersburg; Catherine Coby and her husband Guy, Quakertown. She will be greatly missed by her 23 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Service: A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11am on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at St. Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Avenue, Allentown, preceded by a calling hour beginning at 10 am. The interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden Street, Bethlehem.
