Barbara Kay Gassler

June 21, 1945 — July 25, 2021

Barbara Kay Gassler, 76, of Warrington, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Barbara (Kovacs) Webber.

Barb was a kind and compassionate woman who spent her life caring for others. She was a 1963 graduate of Liberty High School where she was on the “Liberty Life” staff, and served as the advertising manager her senior year. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and will be remembered for making sun pickles from her garden and her “moms world famous” spaghetti sauce. She was witty and an avid reader and lover of the rules and quirks of the English language. Barb also enjoyed talking with everyone, and always remembered friends and family members birthdays or other occasions by sending cards and notes. Barb was always active in her church. She often volunteered to help on church committees, pitching in with church fundraising meals, and attending and leading Sunday School, Bible study and Vacation Bible School.

Barb had many jobs throughout her career and in various places throughout the country. She often worked as an administrative assistant, where she was highly valued for her attention to detail, editing skills, and warm way with customers and co-workers alike. She eventually became a Financial Worker for Hennepin County in Minneapolis, where she met with clients and helped them apply for assistance for which they were eligible. She was dedicated to her job and always did her utmost to help clients.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Edward Reidell of Jenkintown, PA and her “special sweetie,” and reading buddy, her granddaughter Julianna Barbara Reidell. Barbara was predeceased by her mother, her brothers Phillip Trimble and Herman “Buddy” Webber and her companion of 18 years, Richard “Rick” Lundin. Barb also had another daughter, Stephanie, who was stillborn.
