Betty Balogh

The family of Betty Balogh is sad to announce her passing on April 18th. Betty was born Sept 15, 1936 to David and Margaret (Nemeth) Eustis in Freemansburg. On July 14, 1956, she married the love of her life and forever dancing partner Julius and they celebrated their 65th anniversary right before his passing in 2021.

She will always be known for her wonderful Hungarian meals and the meals she had ready whenever visitors stopped by. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren could always expect a full candy dish and a cupboard full of goodies waiting for them when they visited.

Betty was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 

She is survived by her daughters, Coleen Walther (Fred) of Poland, Maine, Sherry Mack (Dale) of Bethlehem, her grandsons, Danny Higgins (Anastasia) of Easton, Tommy (Ani) Springfield, MA, and her great grandchildren, Jimi, Maggie, Michael and Noah, as well as grandchildren, Abby Mack, Alex Mack, and Molly Higgins. She is also survived by her sister, Patt Oswald of Hellertown, and many nieces and nephews, and was pre-deceased by her brother, John. She will also be dearly missed by her "other daughter", Debbie Boyer. We will be forever grateful for her special caregivers, Liz, Nora and Randi.

The family will receive guests at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Words of remembrance will be shared at 11:00 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 11:15 a.m. in the funeral home.
