Daniel Patrick McCloskey, 71, passed away on March 15, 2024, at his home in Bethlehem Township. He was born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1952, in Easton, PA to the late Daniel V. McCloskey and Florence (Buris) McCloskey. Daniel is survived by his devoted wife, Christine Marie McCloskey. They were married in September of 1972 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Palmer Township.
Daniel will be remembered as a kind man, who was proud of his Irish heritage and developed a tremendous work ethic. As hard as Daniel worked, he was also known to love a good party. He enjoyed life to the fullest with family and friends. He enjoyed many Irish whiskey toasts with friends in his party garage (Hooligans). Daniel loved to cook, and he was famous for his wings and corned beef recipes.
He was a graduate of Easton High School.
Daniel’s professional career is extensive. He worked for JD Snyder for 10 years, Ashland chemical for 27 years, continued his work while serving a few years at Air Products, and finished his career at Staver Hydraulics.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Christine, sons, Brian Daniel McCloskey and his wife, Jen, and Eric Leigh McCloskey and his wife, Sheila, daughter, Jodi Lynn McCloskey, as well as his grandchildren, Shannon, Dana, Liam, Kiara, sister, Mary Alice, extended family, and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Jim.
The family will receive guests at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 am, immediately followed by a brief prayer service.
