David E. Berger, 49 of Bethlehem Township died Friday evening at St. Luke?s Hospital, Fountain Hill. David and his wife Patricia Hammond Berger celebrated their 10th Wedding Anniversary this past September.Born in Kingston, Pa. he is the son of Glenmore and Florence Lagoski Berger of Blandon, Pa. David worked for ATT as a project manager for the past 23 years. He is an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bethlehem where he was The Co-ordinator of the Parish Flag Football program. He loved coaching and was a coach for the Connie Mack Division of the FBTAA.A graduate and athlete at Hillsboro High School, N.J. where he was a record holder with the high school baseball team for the most strikeouts in a game. He also excelled in football. He also graduated from Tarkio College, Tarkio MS where he played football and baseball and was later recruited by Bill Parcells of the New York Giants football team. He played minor league baseball as a pitcher with AAA league in New Jersey.Surviving with his wife and parents are his daughters; Joanne Florence and Mary Elizabeth both at home. He also is survived by two sisters Donna Berger of Hamilton Square, N.J., Michele wife of David Fisher of Bloomsbury, N.J., 5 nieces and 2 nephews.A Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 3219 Santee Road Bethlehem, Pa. Visitation will be on Tuesday 7:00p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Connell Funeral Home 245 East Broad Street Bethlehem, Pa.Memorials may be made to help Adam Recke.
