Dennis J. Galligani Sr.

March 25, 1946 — October 30, 2021

Dennis James Galligani Sr. 75 of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania transitioned peacefully on October 30th surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where he met his wife Alyce at George Williams College. Dennis and Alyce had then moved back to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where Alyce was originally from and they started their family of three children Dennis Jr, David, and Jenna.

He started his career of helping troubled youth by working at The Boys Club in Bethlehem. Then he began working in the Juvenile Probation office in Northampton County where he then became Chief. Dennis also helped create the Juvenile Detention and Treatment Center in Northampton County and became the Director of this facility that focused on helping teens rehabilitate. Dennis' passion for helping kids was felt by everyone he interacted with, he had a real impact on the community around him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandkids play sports, golfing, playing tennis, watching the Bears and spending summers in Maine with his entire family.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Faye and his brothers Ronald and Michael. He is survived by his wife Alyce, three children Dennis Jr., David, and Jenna, his 4 grandchildren Cody, Grayson, Marina, and Gavin, and his sister Anita.

There will be a private Celebration of Life to honor Dennis for his family.
