Dolores "Dee" L. (Marcinko) Oravec, 94, of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Arden Court, Palmer Twp. She was the wife of the late Donald J. Oravec for 74 years until his death on October 24, 2024. Dolores was born in Bethlehem on February 9, 1931 to the late John and Anna (Sabolcik) Marcinko. Dee first worked for the former Bush & Bull Dept. Store, Bethlehem and then for the Bethlehem Area School District as a Cafeteria Worker at Calypso Elementary and Broughal Middle Schools for 20 years until retiring in 1994. She was a member of Saints Simon & Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Dolores was a proud homemaker and a devoted mother to her six children. Her love for cooking was evident in her delicious pagach and kiffles, which were family favorites.
Survivors: children: Donna Jean (Raymond) Becker of Bethlehem Twp., Diane (Douglas) Reed of Lee Summit, MO, Denise (Paul) Beverly of Ridgeway, SC, David (Cindy) Oravec of Palmer Twp., Doris (Donald Sledz) Oravec of Bethlehem, Dorothea Graser of Bethlehem; sister: Janice Anthony of Allentown; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by a granddaughter: Hannah Graser; sister: Martha Begovich.
Services: Friends and family are invited to her viewings from 6-8pm Thursday May 22, 2025 and 10-11am Friday, May 23, 2025 both at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem. A prayer service will follow at 11am. The interment will conclude at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Online condolences may be offered at www.connellfuneral.com
