Dominick A. Schank, Jr.

June 15, 1927 — June 8, 2021

Dominick A. Schank, Jr., 93, of Bethlehem died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at St. Lukes Hospital-Fountain Hill Campus. Born June 16, 1927 in Scranton he was the son of the late Margaret (Noto) and Dominick A. Schank, Sr. He was married to Anna L. (Kozak) Schank with whom he celebrated 70 years of marriage this past April 21st.

Dominick served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He went on to graduate from Johnston School of Technology and began working for Western Electric, retiring after 40 years. Dominick loved music and dancing, along with his wife, he could always be found at the Polka tent during Musikfest or at the Coplay Saengerbund. In his spare time Dominick enjoyed working in his garden and watching the Phillies, Eagles, and golf. Dominick was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Bethlehem. He was a very generous man who will be missed by all those that knew him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Anna, sons, Andrew Schank and wife Rita, and David Schank, daughter, JoAnne Vance and companion Vince Lang, grandson, Kyle Schank, sisters, Grace Goodwin, Marie Scaringi, and Frances wife of Dave Shannon, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Rose Peters and Irene Schank and brothers, Fred and Albert Schank.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Dominicks name to Notre Dame Catholic Church.
