Donna Louise Ogden, 77, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Born on July 19, 1949, in Allentown, she was the third of six children of the late Leroy and Evelyn (née Robertson) Siegfried. She was the devoted wife of David G. Ogden, with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage and memories.
Donna will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering faith in Christ. She had a special way of making others feel loved, valued, and cared for. Her relationship with Jesus laid the foundation for her life, and she served as a source of spiritual strength, encouragement, and comfort to countless people, especially those closest to her.
Above all, Donna cherished family. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother brought her immeasurable joy, and she took great pride in the people her children and grandchildren became. In a beautiful reflection of her thoughtfulness, Donna kept handwritten notes in her Bible about her loved ones, recognizing their unique gifts and special qualities, one of the many ways she quietly expressed her deep and abiding love.
Donna had a lifelong passion for helping others, a calling that was evident in both her personal and professional life. She worked as an administrative assistant for Bethel Bible Fellowship Church from 1973 to 1981 and later dedicated more than 20 years of service to Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church before retiring in 2013. She studied at Grace College in Indiana and regularly attended New Covenant Christian Community Church in Bethlehem.
Donna greatly appreciated music, especially her husband’s vocal and piano renditions of Gospel hymns, and the songs written and performed both by her husband and her son, Josh. She took particular joy in the music they created.
She is survived by her loving husband, David; daughter, Sunny Nelson and her husband, Travis; son, Josh Ogden and his wife, Abby; and her cherished grandchildren, Petros, Felix, Georgia and Matiyos. She is also survived by her five siblings, Karen Siegfried, Jeffrey (Doris) Siegfried, Patricia Siegfried, Audrey (Richard) Heimbach and Christina (James) Scheirer. She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Norah Pearl Ogden.
Donna will be dearly missed by countless family members, friends, former classmates and coworkers and all the untold people whose lives were touched by her – in both deep and subtle ways – in her neighborhood, church and community.
Services have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem, and will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
