Edward Lawrence Redding, age 67 of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Tuesday November 22, 2022, following his long battle with cancer.

Edward, known by loved ones as Ed or Eddie, was born on March 15, 1955 in Bethlehem, PA to parents Edward Vincent Redding and Jennie (Pierok) Redding. He attended Notre Dame Grade School and Bethlehem Catholic High School where he enjoyed playing football and made lifelong friends. Upon graduating in 1973, Edward moved to Scranton, PA where he went on to earn a bachelors degree from Scranton University in 1977. He then moved to Minneapolis, MN where he obtained a law degree from Hamline University, class of 1982.

For over 25 years, Edward owned a private Law practice. He also served as Northampton County solicitor in the early 90s.

Edward was charming, sentimental, funny, and one-of-a-kind. With a deep interest in history and art, Ed had an endless collection of antiques. Friends and family often joked that his office building could be turned into a museum. He loved the beach particularly taking annual trips with his children and their friends to Avalon, NJ and Key West, FL.

Edward is survived by his son, Edward Robert Bjork Redding, daughter, Mary ONeill Bjork Redding, former wife, Carol Bjork, sister, Jean M. Cunningham, brother-in-law, Michael Cunningham, nephews, Eamon and Owen Cunningham, niece, Amelia Vohs, sisters-in-law Ann, Vohs and Dee Bjork, brothers-in-law, Karl Vohs and Scott Westerhouse, partner, Susan Spaulding who lovingly cared for him throughout his illness, cousins, and an abundance of loyal friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward P. Redding, mother, Jennie Redding, parents-in-law, Robert and Ruth Bjork, sister-in-law, Beth Westerhouse, friend, Kathy Donnelly, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his best furry friend, McDermitt.
