Ernest Barbarics

Ernest John Barbarics, 76, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024. Born on July 24, 1947, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Ernest and Helen (Gubish) Barbarics.

He attended Liberty High School and furthered his education at Northampton Community College, graduating with an associate's degree in computer science. Ernest pursued a career in computer operations within the electronics industry, dedicating his efforts to companies such as, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Honeywell EDP, Ingersoll Rand, Equitable Life and Johnson & Johnson until his retirement.

Immersed in his love for the outdoors, Ernest found solace in fishing expeditions to Canada and hunting in Maine. His commitment to faith was evident through his active involvement as a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Bethlehem.

Ernest leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Julia Barbarics, along with his son, Mark Barbarics, and daughter, Kristen Barbarics; sister, Patricia Gergar and her husband, Richard and their children, Alexandria and Victoria; and sister-in-law, Rose Marie Brunell and her son, Scott. His memory will forever be cherished by family and friends alike.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 3771 Easton Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18020. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or Spondylitis Association of America, spondylitis.org.
