Estelle M. Boyer

December 19, 1928 — September 26, 2023

Estelle Marcon Boyer (“Honey”) of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on September 26th at the Hospice House of the Visiting Nurses of St. Luke’s. at the age of 94. Estelle was the loving daughter of Rose Turtzo Marcon and Frank L. Marcon. She was born in Bethlehem, attended Liberty High School, and graduated from Ursinus College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Before starting her family she worked in the Scientific Research field at the University of Pennsylvania.


Honey lived a full and active life surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed extensive travel with her close friends, a round of golf and a good party. She loved her home town of Bethlehem and dedicated a great deal of time to various volunteer organizations. Over the years she served as Chair of the The Ladies Auxiliary of St. Lukes Hospital, on the Boards of the Cancer Boutique and Historic Bethlehem and was a member of the Junior League. Her family has close ties to DeSales University where she was a generous supporter.

Honey was an avid golfer and member of Saucon Valley Country Club where she enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family on the golf course and at the Bridge table. She also served as Chair of Women’s Golf at Saucon Valley.


Estelle was very proud of her family. She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Bell (Larry). Her children Frank Boyer (Beth) and Eleanor Harbaugh (Jim). “Nanny” is also survived by her 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren: Adam (Nicole) Harbaugh, Briar and Piper; Michael Harbaugh (Jenna), Cale and Leah; Douglas Boyer; Elissa Derbak (Erik), Norah and Gregory; Julie Bechtold (Dave) , Savannah.


Services are private at the request of the family.
