Everett Delroy Fredericks

December 25, 1961 — December 17, 2023

Everett/Delroy Fredericks, passed away on December 17, 2023, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, just eight days shy of his 62nd birthday. Born on Christmas Day in 1961, in Easton, Pennsylvania, Everett/Delroy was a beacon of kindness and joy to all who knew him.


Everett/Delroy was a proud graduate of Easton High School. He was passionate about working with the Lifepath Workshop, where he was a cherished member of the community. His colleagues at Lifepath were more than just friends—they were family.


Everett/Delroy's zeal for life was seen in his many interests. He was an enthusiastic fan of Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles, and he enjoyed the excitement of attending games. A man of diverse talents, Everett/Delroy learned to play both the keyboard and guitar, filling the lives of those around him with music and laughter. His extraordinary memory often amazed his friends and family, as he recalled the finest details of the movies he enjoyed and the places he traveled, particularly his cherished trips to Florida.


Everett/Delroy was a man a faith, who loved the “man upstairs” dearly. He was a conversationalist who could carry on a discussion for hours, captivating his listeners with his patience, kindness, and joyful demeanor. Everett/Delroy held himself accountable for his actions and left an indelible mark on those who came into contact with him. His kind heart and loving nature were the essence of his being as demonstrated in how he ended his conversations with the words, “I love you.”


Everett/Delroy is survived by his friends at LifePath, as well as his loving family, including his brothers, Tyrone Fredericks and his wife Suzanne, Rodney Fredericks and his wife, Ruth; his sister, Barbara Jackson and her husband Jim; his sisters-in-law, Phyllis, wife of the late Fred E. Fredericks, Sr., and Rose, wife of the late David Fredericks. He also leaves behind an extended family, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Everett/Delroy was also preceded in death by his mother, Constance Fredericks and father, Everett VanNess and sisters, Joanie Falwell and Juanita Fredericks.


Everett/Delroy's life was a testament to the power of kindness, gentleness, and love. These words best describe a man who was a friend to all he met and who approached life with an open heart. His legacy will continue to inspire those who had the pleasure of knowing him.


As we say farewell to Everett/Delroy, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with joy, music, and enduring friendships. Everett/Delroy's light will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched with his gentle and loving nature.


A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. immediately followed by a service at 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Interment will be held at Easton Cemetery.
