Faye Loraine Anderko, 99, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Born on July 24, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice (Krise) and William C. McKelvie. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Anderko. They were married for 55 years.
Faye was a resident of Lutheran Manor of the Lehigh Valley for 16 years. She was a former member of Bethany UCC and Trinity UCC in Bethlehem for many years. During WWII, she was a shell inspector. She loved people and had enjoyed a very active social life. Faye volunteered with the Red Cross and also at Holy Family Manor. She enjoyed crafting, decorating her house for every holiday, sewing and baking, especially Christmas cookies. Family was her life and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cindy Anderko Cook (Larry) of North Carolina; grandchildren, Jared A. Cook (fiancé, Amy Barile) and Nicole R. Cook (fiancé, Cody Flanagan) and many nieces and nephews. Faye was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas and Burl McKelvie and sisters, Nancy Peniston, Joan Mitman and Betty Stocker.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Manor of the Lehigh Valley, 2085 Westgate Dr. Bethlehem, PA 18017.
