Fernando Rosa

July 22, 1952 — March 20, 2024

Fernando Rosa, 71, a man of generous spirit and friendly demeanor, of Bethlehem passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Carmen Diaz. Fernando was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on July 22,1952 to the late Nicolas and Gloria (Alicea) Rosa. He worked for Mrs. Paul’s Kitchen, Doylestown, the Magnet Shop, Pembroke and in the Maintenance Dept. for Moravian University until retiring. Fernando served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army National Guard during Peacetime. He was a member of Holy Infancy Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

An avid New York Yankees fan, Fernando's love for baseball was matched only by his passion for salsa music. Known affectionately as the "Mayor of 4th Street," he was a fixture in his community, greeting everyone with a smile that was as genuine as it was infectious. Fernando's penchant for walking and his handy nature made him a treasured friend and neighbor. Despite his stubborn streak, it was this very tenacity that endeared him to all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and his skilled hands have left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Fernando will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his joy and camaraderie.
