Francisco “Frank” Pinho, 82, of Bethlehem Twp., died on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his home. He was born August 2, 1934 in Newark, NJ; son of Anthony and Maria (Amador) Pinho. Frank is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Rose (Cataldi) Pinho.
Frank retired after 23 years of service as a corrections officer at East Jersey State Prison in Rahway, NJ; where he was a firearms instructor. He enjoyed shooting at the range and was a very talented gunsmith. Frank attended Calvary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Lodge No. 135 of Free and Accepted Masons, located in Metuchen, NJ.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Rose; daughters, Debby Battista and her spouse, Jose of Whiting, NJ; Louise Scank and her spouse, Jackie of South Carolina; step daughter, Carol Altman and her spouse, Jim of Allentown; daughter-in-law, Dorene Kopesky of Phillipsburg, NJ; sister, Grace Viegas and her spouse, Manuel of Florida; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his son Frankie; step-sons, Ronnie and Joey Kopesky and his brother, Antonio Pinho.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 4- 8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, 5300 Green Pond Rd., Easton, PA 18045. The family will receive guests from 10-11 a.m. in the church prior to the service. Burial will be held at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Pl #170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
