Frederick Schuster

Frederick "Fred" J. Schuster Jr, passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice; his son, Fred, and his wife, Elizabeth and their two daughters, Darcy and Maya; his daughter Shonna and her wife Danielle, and her three daughters, Kyleigh, Abagail and Reilly. He was the son of Fred Schuster and Laurel (Williams) Schuster. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert.

Fred was a graduate of Liberty High School and Moravian College, now University. He taught for four years in the Wallenpaupack Area High School and for 36 years in the Nazareth Junior High School and the Nazareth Middle School. During those forty years he coached football, basketball, baseball, and volleyball. He was honored in the Who's Who in American Teachers several times. In his later years, he was a board member and teacher for the S.T.A.R. Academy.

Fred enjoyed traveling with his wife Ali to many destinations across the U.S., especially vacationing every year in Dennisport, Cape Cod. For years, Fred and Alice also chaperoned students on educational trips throughout Europe.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
