Gail A. Schneider, 82, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Kirkland Village. She was the loving wife of the late Robert J. Schneider who died October 14, 2003. Gail was born in Fountain Hill on January 1, 1943 to the late Leonard and Ann (Tichy) Achey. Gail was a loving mother to her sons, and aunt to several nieces and nephews. Gail was always involved in her family's activities and hosted numerous family and neighborhood gatherings. Gail was an amazing cook and baker, famous for her cream puffs and nut tossies. Gail dedicated her professional life to serving others, holding the position of Office Manager at the Bethlehem YMCA and contributing her efforts to United Cerebral Palsy. She was a trailblazer in her community, being the first woman elected President to the Board of Directors at the Freemansburg Bethlehem Twp. Athletic Association (FBTAA),as well as her involvement with Cub and Boy Scouts. Gail was also a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Pennsylvania State Police, reflecting her and her late husband's commitment to public service and community support. She was a dedicated member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem, Twp.

Survivors: son: Michael R. Schneider of Bethlehem Twp.; sister: Dianne (Nicholas) Zumas of Bath; sister-in-law: Marlys Achey of Spokane, WA. Predeceased by her son Robert J. Schneider, Jr. who died June 5, 1983 and brother: Leonard Achey who died July 13, 2017 and sister-in-law: Regina Achey who died May 1, 2005.

Service: Family and friends are invited to her viewing from 6-8pm Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1817 1st Street, Bethlehem, Pa.18020. The interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
