Gay S. Pecsi, 85, of East Allen Township, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at her residence. Born on August 30, 1939, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Madack) Shivek.
Gay graduated from Liberty High School in the class of 1957 and went on to have a career as an administrative assistant at Bethlehem Steel, Keystone Savings & Loan, and Valley Group Therapy. She was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Walnutport.
In her personal life, Gay loved hiking with her husband, Frank during their trips to Maine. After his passing, she cared for his rhododendrons, birds, and fish. She also enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and caring for her feral cat, Kitty. She found great joy in the company of hummingbirds and enjoyed the beauty of violets that adorned her home.
Survivors: Gay will be dearly missed by her daughter, Kim Finger and her husband, Keith; son, Christopher Pecsi and his wife, Andrea; sister, Joan Johns; grandchildren, Tyler and Dustin Henderson and Ashley Hostetler and her husband, Justin; great-grandchildren, Autumn Henderson, Sloan Hostetler and Ezekiel Hostetler.
In addition to her parents, Gay is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Frank G. Pecsi.
A visitation for family and friends will be held 10-11am on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Rd., Walnutport, PA 18088 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
