George E. Wonsock, Jr.

December 29, 1921 — July 26, 2006

George E. Wonsock, Jr., 84, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's in Lower Saucon Twp. He was born December 29, 1921 in Mahanoy City; the son of the late George E. and AnnaKowacik Wonsock, Sr. George was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 59 years, Anne M.Kupstas Wonsock.

Following High School, George served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. George retired as a draftsman from Mack Truck, Inc.

George was a lifetime member of the American Legion Demato Post in Shenandoah.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family; sons, George E. "Budd" III of Boca Raton, FL; Kevin R. of Bethlehem; and Randall L. husband of Christine of Ponte Vedra, FL; and daughter, Cheryl, wife of Joseph Pelchar of Allentown, as well as six grandchildren, Joseph, James, Jeremy, Kiersten, Katelyn, and KerriAnne. George is also survived by his sister Helen wife of George Sverha of Allentown, brothers Russell of Wilmington, DE; Steven of Mahanoy City; and Edward of Mechanicsburg; as well as his sister-in-law Sally wife of Charles Marcavage of Shenandoah. He was preceded in death by his twin sister Mildred and brothers, John and Arthur.

A visitation will be held on Monday July 3, 2006 from 9 to 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd Bethlehem PA 18020, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM in the church. Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA
