George W. Trexler, 82, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Moravian Village in Bethlehem. Born May 25, 1923 in Allentown, he was the son of the late George A. and Mary MaloneTrexler. He was the loving husband of the late Margaret I. Nagy Trexler who died in 2004. George worked for Bethlehem Steel for 30 years in the boiler room at the #2 Blast Furnace. He retired in 1986. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army as an Aviation Mechanic. He was a member of the Patriot Old Timers Baseball League, the Bethlehem Area MORA club, the Fearless Fire Co. of Allentown and the Bethlehem Golf Club.

He will be lovingly remembered by, his daughter, Linda S. Kelleman & husband David J. of Bethlehem, son, Thomas G. Trexler of Bethlehem, brothers; Richard Trexler, Eugene "Mooney" Trexler and William Trexler all of Allentown. a sister-Mildred Mondovich of Allentown, three granddaughters, Cpt. April J. Wharton who is serving in Iraq with The 101st Aviation Unit, Lt. Heather M. Van Horn of Clarksville, TN and Krystle S. Trexler of Germansville as well as a great-granddaughter, Melia Margaret Van Horn. He was preceded in death by, a sister, Dorothy Kulp.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 9 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, Visitation will be from 8-9 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
