Gerald L Kale of Marion Township formerly of Bethlehem passed away on Saturday September 6th 2025 surrounded by his family. Born in Bethlehem he was husband to Linda Kale with whom he shared 54 years of marriage and son of the late Shirley (Sell) and Gerald Kale Sr.

Jerry was a 1967 graduate of Liberty High School. He served his country proudly in the US Marine Corps in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged, he returned to his job at the City of Bethlehem in the Department of Engineering as a Draftsman / Civil Engineer for 33 years. He also worked part-time at Bike Shops and driving shuttle vans at Lehigh and Moravian Universities

Jerry loved riding motorcycles, especially his Ducati and later Harley Davidsons. He also liked listening to all kinds of music particularly country. He always had time for his 7 grandchildren, whether needing rides to appointments, attending performances or just playing with them, Grandpa was always there.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Jerry leaves behind his wife Linda; daughters Lori Subotkowski, wife of Tim, and Carrie Steck, wife of Florian; his sons Jeremy Kale, husband of Amanda, and Trevor Kale, husband of Samantha. He was a proud grandfather to Caiden, Parker, and Makenna Frankenfield; Chase Kale; Lene Subotkowski; and Olivia and Lucas Kale.

He is also survived by his brothers Donald Kale and wife Carol, and John Kale and wife Gerry; his sister Kathy Kale and her companion Michael Truckley; as well as his niece Jodi Wernett and her husband Chris, and friend Brian Frankenfield.

Per Jerry's request, services will be private.
