Helen Boksan

Helen Boksan, 78, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at St.Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill. Born June 26, 1927 in Miners Mills, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Stulak Petro. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Boksan who died in 2002. Helen was a 1945 graduate of Liberty High School. She was a sewing machine operator for Sure Fit Products for 20 years before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the G.C.U. Lodge #225 and an active member of Ss Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church where she was actively involved with the pierogie ladies. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her son, Michael Boksan & wife Carol of Bethlehem, daughters, Mary, wife of Retired LTC Daniel Miltenberger of Bellefonte, PA, Susan, wife of Retired COL Joseph Rapone of Waynesville, MO, brothers, Michael & George Petro of Bethlehem, sisters, Anna Bednar and Irene Horvath of Bethlehem and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Petro and a brother John Petro

Services: A Panachida Service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2006 at 9:15 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, followed by Office of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Ss Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church 1140 Johnston Dr. Bethlehem, Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Memorials may be made to the church.
