Helen G. Gerlecz

Helen G. Gerlecz, 85, of Bethlehem, died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Doylestown Hospital.

She was born February 8, 1921 in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Cserpnyak Sinko.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Steve J. Gerlecz and her son Barry S. Gerlecz.

Helen and her husband were the owners of the Grade "A" Food Market of Bethlehem from 1946 to 1971. Earlier she worked as a seamstress repairing uniforms for WWII.

Helen was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee Cipriano of Chalfont, PA; grandaughter, Christine M. Cipriano & husband Stephen Niezgoda; and twin grandchildren Thomas J. Cipriano and Carla A., wife of Todd Lovell.

Helen was predeceased by her sisters Mary, Julia and Theresa and a brother Joe.

SERVICES

A Visitation will be at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem on Wednesday October 25, 2006 from 8-9:30AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 416 E. 5th St., Bethlehem.
