Helen T. Steltz

Helen T. Steltz, 78, of Bethlehem; devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, peacefully left this world to be with St. Jude surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 24, 2006 at VNA of St. Luke's.

She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Harry and Ellen Curry Thompson.

Helen is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Forrest E. Steltz.

She worked as an escort and elevator operator for the Bethlehem Steel Co. prior to dedicating her life to her family as a homemaker.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her family, husband; son, Glenn E. husband of Judy of Salisbury Twp.; daughter, MaryEllen Schubert of Louisville, KY; son, James W. husband of Chris of Millersville, PA; son, Laurence J. husband of Diane of Bethlehem; daughter, Regina A. wife of Mark Yandrisevitz of Bethlehem; and son, Edward M. husband of Elizabeth of Bethlehem.

Helen is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Jared, Casey, Cory, Kyle, Adam, Andrew, Kaly, and William.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Christopher and two brothers Francis and James.

SERVICES

A visitation will be held on Wednesday September 27, 2006 from 7-9PM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. and again on Thursday September 28, 2006 from 9:30-10:30 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church Bethlehem.
