J. Stanley Tich

December 28, 1925 — June 6, 2006

J. Stanley Tich, 80, of Hellertown, PA died on Tuesday June 6, 2006 at St. Luke?s Hospital. He was born in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Joseph and Anna Miller Tich. Stan was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita J. Lovetinsky Tich.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie Mulligan Smith-Tich.

Stan retired from the Bethlehem Steel Co. Purchasing Dept. and later worked for the

International Purchasing Dept. for Nord Rutile International.

He was a former member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, where he was a member of the first year class of Eucharistic Ministers in 1982.

Stan was presently the Secretary for the Holy Name Society at St. Theresa?s Catholic Church in Hellertown. He will be lovingly remembered by his family; wife, Rosemarie; sons, David F. husband of Lynn of Frederick, MD; Gregory M. husband of Sally of Redondo Beach, CA; and Eric J. husband of Amy of Ellicott City, MD; five grandchildren, Josephine of Harrisburg; David husband of Julie of Kutztown, Brian and Katie both of Ellicott City, MD and Christopher of Frederick, MD; along with all the loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchild of Rosemarie.

He is also survived by his sister Marie Seager of Wheaton, IL; nephew Ron Seager husband of Carol of Bonita Springs, FL; brother in law Francis Lovetinsky husband of Evelyn and nephew Richard Lovetinsky all of Essex, MD; and niece, Theresa wife of Jim Lanham of Owings, MD. Stan was preceded in death by his brother Lewis Tich and his brother-in-law Frank Seager. Stan was very proud of his service within the Knights of Columbus. He was a fourth degree knight and served as Grand Knight of Fr. O?Neil Council 4011 in Towson, MD and Trinity Council 313 in Bethlehem.

Stan was a very active member of the diocesan Cursillo. He took a leadership role in the MORA Club, where he arranged the book sale at Muhlenberg Hospital and was Past President of their bowling league. Stan was also a member of the Elks Club.

He was an avid University of Notre Dame fan and was a member of their Booster Club.

Stan enjoyed music and spending time with his family and will forever be remembered as a man who dedicated his life to serve others. Services: A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Sunday June 11, 2006 from 6-9PM. The Knights of Columbus will have a prayer service at 6PM. Another visitation will take place at St. Theresa?s Catholic Church, Hellertown on Monday June 12, 2006 from 10-11AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM.

Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council #313 c/o the funeral home to support their charitable works.
