Jacob F. Keim

Jacob F. Keim, 86, formerly of Bethlehem, died on Friday September 29, 2006 at VNA Hospice of St. Luke?s.

He was born in Moore Twp., the son of the late John and Sophia Koest Keim.

Jacob was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Helen J. Leibensperger Keim.

He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy Sea Bee?s.

Jacob retired from the Bethlehem Foundry Machine Shop after 30 years of service. From 1973-1988 Jacob served as a sexton for St. John?s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Nazareth.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family, children, Diana wife of David Yost of Nazareth; Carol Klump of Hesperia, CA; Frederick J. Keim of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Phyllis wife of Harry Erhardt of Wind Gap; Susan J. wife of Mario Bordonaro of Bethlehem; and Kerri Keim of Martin?s Creek; sister Elsie Lorsong of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Sherri Tipton and her husband Anthony of NH; Wendy Baylor of Bethlehem; Mindy Grant and her husband Robert of NY;Charles Klump and his wife April of CA; Jan Cobb and her husband Kevin of MI; Michael Klump and his wife Sherry of CA; Angela Zelko and her husband John of TN; Matthew Bordonaro and his wife Jennifer of CT; Joshua Erhardt of Wind Gap; and Andrew Kauffman of Martin?s Creek; 11 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his grandson Nathan Keim, sisters Margaret Seigfried, Annie Bealer, Ruby Muschlitz, and Alice Reichard and brothers Henry, Stanley, and Warren Keim.

Jacob was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church, Bath.

He was a member of the Loden Senior Center Song Birds and in his earlier days was a Golden Gloves boxer in the welterweight division.

SERVICES

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem PA on Monday October 2, 2006 from 10-11AM with a service to follow at 11AM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of St. Luke?s 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 200, Bethlehem, PA 18017
