Jacquelyn "Jackie" Goyanes, 75, of Bethlehem Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice in Allentown. Born on March 15, 1951, in Port Jervis, New York, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Eleanor (Allen) Dilger. She shared 49 years of marriage with Frank X. Goyanes III before his death on April 15, 2022.
Jackie retired from St. Luke's Hospital after more than 40 years as a pediatric registered nurse. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she cherished her children and grandchildren above all else. She especially treasured family holidays - baking Christmas cookies, creating Halloween costumes for her children and later her grandchildren, and preparing her celebrated Thanksgiving dinner while everyone gathered in the kitchen to "supervise." In her spare time, Jackie enjoyed garage sales, reading, counted cross-stitch, and playing Candy Crush.
Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her children: Carolyn Clayton; Lori Goyanes-Fratangelo and her husband, Geoff; and Michael Goyanes and his wife, Dr. Alice. She will also be remembered by her sisters, Kathleen "Kathy" Piccolo and her husband, Mario; Barbara Yellack and her husband, Charlie; and Deanne Oaks and her husband, Alfie; as well as her grandchildren, Evelyn, Lillian, Jack, and Brennan.
At Jackie's request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to The ALS Association through its Ways to Give page. Arrangements are under the direction of Connell Funeral Home in Bethlehem.
