James G. Bonstein, 73, of Macungie, died on Saturday, February 25, 2023. He was born February 18, 1950, in Easton, PA, son of the late Robert and Jeanette (Taylor) Bonstein. Jim is survived by his wife Desty A (Mack) Bonstein. The two would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 18th.
Jim proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He attended Saint Louis University, where he earned his bachelors degree. He retired from FLSmidth where he worked in procurement.
Jim will be remembered for his love of spending time with family, friends, and his dogs. Jim will be dearly missed by his wife, Desty; sons, David Bonstein and wife, Jaime, and Daniel Bonstein and wife, Kate; sister, Janet Lovell and husband, Steve; brother, Michael Bonstein and wife, Karol; brother in-law, Frank Mack, and six grandchildren, Cecily, Sophia, Shae, Sienna, Bryce, and Jakob.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018, immediately followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will be held at St. Anthony Cemetery, Easton.
